DBT LifeSkills Training

LifeSkills Training for Adolescents with Parenting Support There will be a variety of workbooks that can be selected based on the needs of the adolescent. Parents will be working from the book Parenting a Child Who Has Intense Emotions. The focus of these two groups are to address issues of emotions/feelings, behavioral principles, expectations/limitations within the relationship, developing self, effective parenting, and effects on family. Call for current availability.

DBT & ACT for Professional Men: Are you in need of intensive coping skills combined with daily strengthening and support? If so, then DBT/ACT LifeSkills Training has been developed for you. You may benefit from the training if you are struggling with an inadequate sense of self, low self-esteem, emotional instability, unstable relationships, impulsive self-damaging behavior and/or suicidal behavior. DBT/ACT LifeSkills Training has been designed specifically to address the needs of professional men. Call for current availability.

DBT The Family Component: is designed for family members who want to learn more about DBT LifeSkills and have a willingness to support their family member who is currently participating in a DBT LifeSkills Training group. DBT The Family Component is a 6-week program. Individual (or group) sessions will be held weekly for 1 hour, with the following objectives.

Week 1: Mindfulness in Everyday Living (Awareness of Self and Surroundings)

Week 2: Intrapersonal Effectiveness (Self Acceptance)

Week 3 Interpersonal Effectiveness (Relationships)

Week 4: Emotional Regulation

Week 5: Distress Tolerance

Week 6: Caregiving vs. Self-Care

DBT LifeSkills Management: is provided to you if you have completed the DBT LifeSkills Training Program. It is a 12-week program based on the book Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook. It can be completed on an individual basis or group setting.The focus of the group is as follows:

1. DBT Review: Weekly Goal Setting; The DBT Daily LifeSkills Journal & Self-Reflection

2. Basic Distress Tolerance Skills

3. Advanced Distress Tolerance Skills: Improve the Moment

4. Basic Mindfulness Skills

5. Advanced Mindfulness Skills

6. Exploring Mindfulness Further

7. Basic Emotional Regulation Skills

8. Advanced Emotional Regulation Skills

9. Basic Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills

10. Advanced Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills

11. Interpersonal Effectiveness: Loving Yourself

12. Putting It All Together
